In trying conditions our Under 14 & 17 Girls Teams came up against South Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Fathers Day.

The Under 14s began well and continued its form throughout the whole day with registering a win by kicking 4 goals 2, to Souths 2 goals 2. Maddi Schwarz did well again thru the midfield as well as kicking a goal, Jamie Parish repelled Souths attack across half back, whilst Dakota Braun’s tackling was outstanding, with Mikayla Murphy & Amber Evans giving our midfield first look at it and Chloe Schwarz did some good work up forward & thru the midfield, Astrid Gooley & Keisha Wanganeen also contributed forward by kicking a goal each.

The Under 17s came up against a good side in South Adelaide and unfortunately went down by 17 points, the positive was another 5 girls got the opportunity to play against quality opposition and gain an understanding of the next level of football.

The girls worked hard all day with Chloe Forby, Teagan Usher & Laitah Huynh getting a bit of the ball thru the midfield, whilst Hannah Fragomeni & Caitlyn Byrne presented up Forward and Olivia Cochrane acquitted herself in defence.

We look to forward to taking on Norwood this week at Hickinbotham Oval in what will be the final minor round games before the Under 17 Finals Round.
