2017 TORRENS UNI CUP GRAND FINAL PREVIEW

Tune in to SANFL TV to get the latest from Eagles coach Shane Reardon and Sturt coach Chris Trapp ahead of the U18 Torrens Uni Cup Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval  on Sunday.

Woodville-West Torrens booked a direct berth into the title-decider with a three-point win against minor premier South Adelaide in the Qualifying Final while Sturt knocked off the Panthers with a fast start in last Friday night’s Preliminary Final.

Father-sons James Rowe (Stephen Rowe) and Jake Weidemann (Wayne Weidemann) will play pivotal roles for the Eagles, with Rowe the leading disposal winner against South and Weidemann leading from the front as captain.

Sturt will look for more midfield presence from ball magnets Ed Allan and Tom Lewis while Tyson Hone, the younger brother of Macca’s League forward Josh Hone, will look to create headaches in attack for the Eagles.

Starting at 10.55am, the match will be a curtain-raiser for the Macca’s League Preliminary Final at 2.10pm, which will also feature the Eagles and Double Blues.
