ALLMOND & CLARKE SAY GOODBYE

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club wishes to advise Members and Supporters of the following club departures…

JARRED ALLMOND:
As most would be aware following the announcement at the Club Champion Awards Dinner, Jarred Allmond has retired following his return to the Club in 2022.

Jarred was a member of the 2011 Eagles Premiership team, and notched up 152 Club games since debuting in 2009.

“With a heavy heart, I am hanging up the boots and retiring from the SANFL” Allmond says. “Football is truly the ultimate team sport, and being a part of an SANFL club makes that all the more evident. So many people devote their time to helping the players, and I would like to thank everyone at WWTFC and NAFC, former and current, for all that you have done for me over the last fifteen years”.

“I look forward to the next football season, but this time with the sole focus of being a great husband and spending more time with my family and friends. To the WWTFC, thank you for allowing me the privilege to see out my footy career at the place I call home. I cannot thank you enough”.

On Allmond’s retirement CEO Luke Powell said, “Jarred has carved out a great SANFL career and has achieved plenty along the journey. The way he went about his footy made him a great teammate to play alongside as well as a favourite amongst the fans. We wish Jarred and wife Bonnie all the best for the future.”

DYLAN CLARKE:
In addition to Jarred’s retirement Dylan Clarke has advised the Club that he will return home to Melbourne. Clarke joined the Club in March after spending the Pre-season at Essendon where he was training on in the hope of gaining a list spot through the SSP. When that fell through and he became available the timing couldn’t have been better for the Club after just losing James Tsitas and Jack Hayes to the AFL via the SSP.

On Clarke’s departure coach Jade Sheedy said, “To join the group in the middle of the trial game period and fit in the way he did, both on and off the field, was a credit to Dylan and his character. We knew upon signing Dylan of the close family ties he and his partner Teish had back in Melbourne, so whilst we would have loved to have kept them here for longer we understand their decision and wish them both all the best for the future.”
