Woodville-West Torrens’ midfielder Blake Hansen has become the third Eagles’ player in 10 years to win the Reserves Magarey Medal, taking home the 2025 trophy.
Polling 25 votes across the minor round, Hansen attracted votes in 12 games, including maximum votes in four appearances.
Hansen, who joined Woodville-West Torrens in 2019 as part of the club’s Under 15 squad, averaged 30 disposals at 89 per cent efficiency, along with 4.6 tackles, 5.9 tackles and 4.6 clearances.
The 21-year-old finished five votes ahead of Glenelg’s Ben Ridgway, who was runner-up on 20 votes, with Sturt’s Joel Thiele placed third with 16 votes.
Rounding out the top five vote-winners were Norwood’s Daniel Gauci on 14 and South Adelaide’s Lachlan Gill on 12.
