Dual premiership player Jack Firns has announced his retirement from the SANFL after more than a decade at Oval Avenue.
Originating from Seaton FC, Jack came through the Eagles talent pathways to make his League debut in 2017. Over his career Jack played several roles on the field, but none more pivotal than the negating roles on opposition key players throughout the successful 2020 and 2021 finals campaigns.
Jack gave everything to the Club and his team mates and will be sorely missed. We wish Jack all the best for the future.
On his retirement Jack said, “I would just like to take the opportunity to thank the Woodville West Torrens Football Club for everything that it has provided me over the years.
I would like to thank our loyal fans, members and the entire Eagles community for all the support over the years.
Thank you to all the players, coaches, support staff and volunteers who I have shared my time with over the last 15 years.
Thank you also to Craig & Jo-Ann Arthur from Craig Arthur Transport who have been my player sponsor since day one.
I am so lucky to have come through the club as a Junior and be able to celebrate winning 2 Premierships along the way.
I will forever be grateful for everything that club has provided for me and I am excited to now be able to support the club as a fan. Thank you.”
Join us in thanking Firnsy for his magnificent contribution and dedication to the Eagles.
