The Under 18s lost their match against South Adelaide on Saturday, at Flinders University Stadium, going down by 22 points.  The first half was very even with South leading by 3 points and 2 points at quarter time and half time respectively. We started the 3rd quarter brightly having a few shots on goal but couldn’t convert and the Panthers kicked 4 goals in 10 minutes as they really lifted their intensity and we were suddenly 4 goals down, a margin which held to the three quarter time break. We were confident that we could get ourselves back into the game but South Adelaide kicked the first 2 goals of the quarter to make our task that much more difficult and whilst we battled out the quarter kicking 3 goals 5 points, we ultimately fell well short and South were deserved victors.

Zane Williams worked very hard in the midfield, together with Lochie Hoile,  Harry Schoenberg came into the game in the second half, Nathan Francis battled well in our defence which was under pressure all day, Jamie Coff did well in our forward line taking many marks and really presenting and contesting well, Michael Frederick continued his good form with some hard running and ball winning across the wings and Dale Pearce had a good return of 3 goals with some strong marking.

This week we will prepare for a tough match against Central Districts on Friday night at X Convenience Oval at 6.30pm.
