Rell’s Review – Round 9
Narelle Smith reviews Round 9 v Norwood
We came into this game knowing Norwood would be a good opponent. With the U18 State players still unavailable and some key changes it was a great test of our depth.
The opposition started strong and we were again slow to get going. The variance in all lines with different players in each line we took time to settle. We worked our way into the game and fell short by 11 points.
It was disappointing to not win on our home deck and we look forward to having a full squad to take on North for Round 10.
With 5 rounds left before finals we are keen to make sure we are in good position when home and away games conclude.
Over the last two rounds we have seen some of our next wave of players really show they belong at the level which is exciting for our program. See you at the Footy & Go Eagles
