The boys had a crack on Sunday, but we unfortunately went down to Glenelg at Stratarama Oval by 12 points. A slow start to the 2nd quarter proved to be an important part of the game we didn’t get right but credit to the boys that we fought it out right to the end. With the wind being a big factor in the game, the boys handled it pretty well and were able to give ourselves some breathing room at the ¼ time and ¾ time break, but it proved to not be quite enough.
The better performers were Riley Knight who was outstanding with 26 touches, 8 clearances, 10 tackles, 6 score involvements and 2 goals, Jimmy Rowe had a great start to the game and finished with 22 possessions, 5 tackles, 7 score involvements and 1.2, Jordan Moore performed really well on Liam McBean for the 2nd time this year which was a positive.
We look forward to taking on Sturt back home at Maugham Thiem Kia Oval and celebrating Luke Thompson’s 250th and Sam Rowland’s 150th.
See you all on Saturday
