Villi’s U18s Match Report – Round 3

UNDER 18s

The Under 18s had a very good win against Norwood on Sunday. Although we led at every break it was a super competitive game. We opened up well kicking 2 goals but didn’t really take advantage of our inside 50s early and Norwood dominated the last part of the quarter and kicked 2 late goals trimming the margin to just 2 points at the first break.

Again we started the 2^nd quarter well and kicked 4 goals in a row before the Legs again hit back late with 2 of their own . The third quarter was an even tussle with both sides defences on top and we kicked 2 goals to one to take a 26 point lead into three quarter time. Playing some very good footy in the last quarter kicking 6 goals to one from Norwood to run out winners by 56 points.

Tate Delmenico was in great form in defence taking many intercept marks and he was well supported by Jack Cook rebounding off half back and giving us great run. Jett Hasting (3 goals), Zac Schwarz, Harry Dodd and Kade Herbert (2 goals)  all provided some great ball getting in our midfield and Tom Luck was a good ruckman who finished up with 2 goals when he went forward. Logan Hughes continued his good form with some very good forward work.

This week we play the in form Roosters at Prospect Oval from 2pm.
