UNDER 18s
The Under 18s had a good win against West Adelaide on Friday, winning 18 goals 11 points to the Bloods 8 goals 2 points.
West Adelaide started strongly and kicked the first 2 goals of the contest which certainly put us on the back foot. We responded well though and kicked the next 10 goals across the balance of the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter and we took a 37 point lead into half time. Once again West started the third quarter better than us and reduced the margin by another 2 goals early before we steadied and squared the quarter.
The last quarter was a bit more of a flowing game and we were able to score 6 goals with the final margin being a healthy 69 points.
We had many good players and Jevan Phillipou (4 goals) was prolific through the midfield and up forward, Jett Hasting was another who was good in our midfield well supported by Tarik Sauer, Zac Schwarz and Harry Dodd. Jack Cook was good in our defence giving plenty of run along with Isaac Edwards. Charlie West was another forward who made a good contribution with 3 goals and some big marks up forward.
This week we debuted Jack Gray and he did well kicking 2 goals and he worked well in our forward line.
Coming up next we have Norwood at home on Sunday at 1.30pm.

UNDER 16s
In a game that was reasonably close for most of the day the Under 16’s were able to open their account for 2024, kicking 8 goals 12 to Westies 7 goals 7.
With Alex Economou and Hamish Wildbore playing their first Under 16 Game we were able to play a much more consistent game across the Four quarters,
Jack Leys thru the Midfield & down back gave us some good drive, with Hunter Wellgreen presenting well up Forward, Khye Maddern and Perry Szklarz contributed well thru the Midfield and Jack Trotter and Lachie Marshall Bates repelled Westies attack on numerous occassions
Whilst Goals weren’t easy to come by, Mason Dohnt and Hunter Wellgreen kicked 3 each with Jackson Lucas and Jack Leys kicking One each.
With Gather Round the Under 16’s have a bye, we wish Elijah Buckskin, Mitch Harris, Jack Leys, Lachie Marshall Bates, Angus Menta and Ben Scheuffele all the best as they get opportunity to play in an Under 16 exhibition game prior to the SANFL v VFL State Game this weekend.
