Straight From The Sauce – Round 2

A positive result for the boys on the weekend. We are seeing the reward from pre season coming through in our game and to put a 4 quarter effort together was really postive and gives us good belief going forward that we are fit and can run out games strongly aswell. Our starts this year have been really good and to jump out the gate and be 37-0 late in the first was fantastic.

Great to see Rowey have his strongest game for the year, the dynamic duo in Beecks and JoMo working very well together and are damaging off half back playing 2 way footy, and Patty Weckert played his best game at league level, strong marks and 3 goals in the first quarter really set the tone.

The development boys went down in another close game, losses of 4 and 9 points this year has proved frustrating for them, but 8 changes from the week before, couple with 4 players returning from long term injuries, they will be better for the run. Looking forward to them taking on Glenelg this Saturday.

Thanks again to the Eagles faithful coming to support the boys, around 2000 people at the game was a great result and we want as many of our members and supporters to come along to games this year, with Rel having another good win, it’s a good time to be at the club as we continue to build and there is no bigger game than Port Adelaide this Sunday at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval, See you all there.
