A frustrating game going down to last years Premiers Glenelg by 11 points. After a flat start to the game we were up against it with the Bays kicking 5 of the games first 6 goals, from then on we were able to get ourselves back into the game closing the gap to 10 points at times, but never being able to get closer enough to make Glenelg nervous.
We really enjoyed the test going up against a very good team and we walk away with some clear learnings and areas that we can improve on ahead of another big game against Norwood at the Parade.
Jordan Moore in his first game against his old team was outstanding, limiting the impact of Liam McBean on the game. Luke Beecken after starting on Lachie Hosie moved further up the ground to give us some run and carry was important. Patty Weckert competed well up forward and got rewarded with 4-5 shots on goal, and Matty Goldsworthy was very good up forward with 3 goals of his own.
Thanks to everyone who came along or was able to watch on TV, the support is very appreciated.
