Christine Williams Women’s Trade Mark Medal

Vice Captain Amie Blanden takes out the inaugural award

After the completion of round 12 and end of SANFLW season, the Woodville West Torrens Football Club have great pleasure in announcing a special award to be presented to the Eagles women’s team – The Trade Mark Player of the year.

This award will follow the Club’s men’s award, the Jamie Tape medal, which is voted by the players after every game and is held in high regard by the players and within the Club. There will also be a perpetual trophy to honour the winner.

Eagles CEO, Luke Powell announced on Saturday night at the post game presentation that the Eagles Women’s Trade Mark medal will be named after Christine Williams who is the current WWTFC President.

Christine has been involved with the Club since the amalgamation and is such a passionate, dedicated volunteer, strong advocate, and supporter for the Eagles women’s program. The Club’s trade mark is •Family •Ruthless •Respect •Resilience – Christine without doubt displays all the trade mark values and is so dedicated to the WWTFC.

On the same night, Eagles Women’s Senior coach Narelle Smith awarded the inaugural Christine Williams Women’s Trade Mark medal to Vice-Captain Amie Blanden who was voted by her fellow team mates to be the Trade Mark Player of the year.
