The Under 18s had a good win against Central Districts  on Saturday at Peter Motley Oval, snapping our 2 match losing streak.  The win was set up with a strong opening quarter where, kicking with the aid of a very strong breeze, we kicked 6 goals 6 points and held Centrals scoreless.  We continued on with our attack on the ball in the second quarter when Centrals had the wind and managed to outscore them by 8 points to take a commanding lead into half time of 50 points and from there we were able to run out strong winners.

It was a real team effort and we had many good players – Lachie Jones continued his impressive form with a commanding display as a key defender this week, Lochie Hoile is another who has continued his strong form in the midfield and he was well supported in that midfield by Aidan Lock and Taj Schofield.  Caleb Poulter made a welcome return to the team from State Under 16 duties (along with Henry Smith) and was a very good contributor and Harry Dawkins was another who played a variety of roles and did well in all of them.

This week we welcomed Jordan Kasianowicz into the team to play his first game after his first half of the year was beset by injuries and Jordan did well kicking a goal and giving us a lot of drive from his wing.

Our next game will be on Sunday at Maughan Thiem KIA Oval kicking off the triple header with a 9.05am start.
