Renee Forth joins SANFLW team for 2022

The Woodville West Torrens Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Renee Forth to our SANFLW team for the 2022 season.

Whilst Forth has spent the previous three years on the Adelaide Crows AFLW list, including playing in their 2019 Premiership, she is already a familiar face at our Club. In her time at the Crows, she was aligned to our SANFLW team and has played 12 SANFLW matches at the Eagles. New senior coach Narelle Smith, is delighted to have Renee a part of the program full time in 2022.

“Renee brings a wealth of experience and has a great football IQ,” said coach Narelle Smith. “She is a quality person who understands what it takes to succeed and it can’t be underestimated how important this will be for our developing group and she can play a bit too.”

Forth has indicated the desire to still play at the highest level and hopes a strong season in the SANFLW will put her in a position to return to AFLW system for the 2023 AFL Season, where four new clubs will enter the competition including Port Adelaide here in South Australia.

“The team has started pre season and I am looking forward to joining them and meeting the new faces. I am currently spending some much needed time with family and friends in Geraldton WA,” said Forth. “Having Rell (Narelle) as our coach I know will help grow the confidence our less experienced have within themselves and she will bring a lot of joy and opportunity for growth. We have signed a couple of experienced players and I know this will really push and benefit the team heading towards what is hopefully our most successful season thus far. Go Eagles!”
