Round 4 Women’s League Match Report

After a tough loss against Norwood in R3 we came in confident to compete well against the reigning premiers.
We started well again which is becoming a pleasing trend with this group. On the flip side we had some lapses in concentration and allowed the opposition back in to the game which we currently see as our main growth area.  We led by 6 points at the first break and 2 points going in to half time.  This week, Q3 would be the one that hurt us with Glenelg coming out and winning the quarter by 10 points which would end up being the final score.  The group were galant in defeat being in a position in Q4 where we got the margin back to 2 points and were looking dangerous to cause an upset.
We scored a major in every quarter showing the connect to our forward line continues to grow.  It was trying conditions for both sides with the heat of the day and our opposition were able to edge us out in the scoring stakes but we were by no means an easy team to play against.
This week we head north to X Convenience Oval to play North at another mid morning time slot of 11.30am which is shaping up to be a great contest.
