UNDER 18s

The Under 18s had a disappointing day against Glenelg on Saturday losing by 70 points.  We competed well in the fist half and with a bit of help from the Bays wayward kicking, we were in the game at half time albeit with a 12 point deficit.

Unfortunately in the second half Glenelg really got their game going and were too strong.

We didn’t have a lot of winners on the day but Jack Cook was excellent in his work in defence and propelling us into attack.

Dougal Ashby and Lachie Lucas also did some good things in a defence that was under siege for most of the day, Brodie Harris gave us some drive on the wings and in defence along with Jake Hall and Oskar Kilpatrick was another who battled hard all day

This week we debuted Blake Harris and he did some good things with his pressure in a tough day for small forwards.

We are very much looking forward to responding this week against Centrals at home.

UNDER 16s

Jensen Frantz & Lucas Martin debuted for the Under 16’s this week against Glenelg.

In what was a bit of an arm wrestle in the first quarter up until the last few minutes, Glenelg were able to kick the last 2 goals and open up an 11 point lead.

Glenelg started the second quarter how they finished the first kicking 3 goals 6 to our 3 points. Which was much the same for the third up until we kicked 2 late goals to gain some confidence going into the last quarter.

Our last quarters have been reasonably good thus far this year and this week was no different, with the lads fighting the game out and winning the quarter 2 goals 4 to 2 goals 2pts.With Glenelg being the better Team on the day winning by 43pts.

Our Goal kickers this week include Jack Marks 2, Christian Smith 2 & Tate Wolthers 2. With our better players being Mitch Harris & Lachie Marshall Bates who played in defence, Jack Leys in the midfield, Alex Economou down back, Mason Dohnt in Ruck & up forward & Jack Southwood on the wing.

This week we take on Centrals at Home and look forward to a four quarter performance.
