The Reserves had a solid encounter with West Adelaide on Friday night. We debuted another under 18s player in Taj Schofield. It was great to see Taj take on the game and we have also had the services of Caleb Poulter and Harrison Dawkins in recent weeks as well.

All players have had a strong impact and it’s a testament to the junior programs we have in place the football club. The game on Friday was tight for most of the match as we struggled to kick consecutive goals and edge away from the opposition. After changing a few positions at 3/4 time the players put on the best quarter for the game outscoring the opposition 6 goals to 1. Whilst it was pleasing to get the result we are still striving to put all four quarters together. This will be our major focus this week as we prepare for Round 14 against a quality side in Central.

On Friday Sam Michael and Luke Barnett combined fantastically in the centre square to win a lot of clearances, Connor McLeod was again strong in defense along with Ryan Bruce. Aron Asfaha again brought a lot of pressure up forward and Mitch Mead is continuing his great work in the midfield.

As mentioned we look forward to the challenge of meeting Centrals this week and hope to see as many Eagles fans as possible for the last minor round game in 2020.
