The Under 18s were defeated by Sturt on Saturday in a disappointing game after 2 good weeks of progress.

The Blues started the game with a blitz taking a 47 point lead at quarter time. Whilst we matched them in the contest and effort after quarter time, the damage had been done and they were much too good on the day winning easily by 84 points.

We didn’t have a lot of good players but Bailey Arthur was very good winning the contested ball, really committing himself and working hard across our midfield for his 27 disposals. Callum Fairall (21 disposals) and Hunter Carter (2 goals) were another 2 players who kept working all day and gave us something with their effort.

This week we debuted Josh Capogreco and Jack Harris, 2 boys who have had injuries all year and it was great to see them out on the field and they both gave their best.

The good news is we play Sturt again this week at Wigan (Unley) Oval and we are looking forward to giving a much better account of ourselves this week across all four quarters.
